Sometimes last week, I was in the room with two of my friends after going through the normal rigorous, unscrupulous, exhausting daily activities this sh*thole of a country has forcibly compelled us to do – and I am not talking about the illegal, bogus and fraudulent kind of activities.
Basically, we sweat our asses out to be able to eat and we still have to think about an escape route from this rat race. That's not the point sha but fam, Life hard!
During our discussion that night – apparently that is one of the few times we catch up to have physical conversations, do the normal guy thing, cruise, flex and talk about life in general.
We were talking about how folks manage to stay sane and kind of happy – 'cos, normal normal nothing's funny – amidst this whole mishap.
After lots of talking and perspective from the three of us, we basically concluded that we find happiness around us too. Memes, cruise, bants, football trolls, and even the clownery displays are a lot to laugh about.
In the actual sense of it, the shenanigans out there still keep most of us sane.
We ended the discussion based on the fact, that amidst the rumbling, grumbling, stumbling; life shouldn't be taken so seriously – You'd just end up dying without actually living.
We identified a few activities that would complement our struggles and to an extent even make us live better. I'd share them in this and hopefully, it makes sense to you.
I don't know if you heard, but the movement has been consistent, the animal kingdom has been taking the whole financial situation too seriously, be like say sapa don catch them for there
‘It is about time to reimburse’ said the King of the Animal Kingdom. Na Termite run the show this time ohh.
That's by the way, Let me tell you about what my guys and I highlighted as a few points to actual living, I am sure this wouldn’t sound totally new to you but your head is just big.
Let’s run through it either way.
Here are some quick hacks to living:
Take memes seriously, I use God beg you on this. It would ease a lot of stress, fr!. I'd recommend you stay glued to our IG page
Spend real time with people that genuinely make you happy, no be everything be work work work. You just find yourself drowning in this cycle of survival, soon. Spend quality time with friends and family. Stay off your devices and just enjoy the moment.
Attend events and ceremonies, even if it is once a month, if you no get person wey dey do event, tag along with a friend, play out.
If you're a guy, abeg, you should watch football – this thing is too interesting for you not to enjoy it na. I promise you total fun, only if you don't support the red side of Manchester sha.
If you don't want to add to whatever Nigeria has been doing to you, don't support Manchester United. If your babe supports Manu, advise him on it quickly.
It actually reeks of pain, suffering, heartbreaks to support Manu, I am in this already and it is almost like this club don use charm for me.
Most importantly, trust God, always and be grateful everytime. Nah everybody dey pass through one or two.00
I hope you did find this piece worth the read and also copped one or two.
Before I forget too, try dey sleep well too… no be by you dey awake… You are not all that vigilante you think you are, try rest well. Capeesh?
However, I seriously feel this article wouldn't be complete without acknowledging the talk of the moment, Big ups to the entire athletics team representing the country! We are proud and especially to the one who has put the country in the spotlight not just once, Tobi Amusan.
She became the first Nigerian world champion in an athletics event when she won the 2022 World Athletics Championships 100 metres hurdles gold medal, setting a new world record of 12.06 seconds in the final to take the gold medal.
Stay on track, keep grinding, fam! WAGMI
